clubgowi...... what to expect, sample, cost and who reads it!

football betting tips -

clubgowi subscribers have received previews for nine games taking place today, across four leagues and two sports, with eleven betting suggestions, two of which are ranked "very strong" , both very strong bets put up on Saturday were winners.

At standard rates, the daily newsletter will cost the reader about £1.64 and pretty much every clubgowi email is detailed, chock full of unique content that you will not read or come across elsewhere and with previews that will repay reading going forward and not just on the day produced, it offers INCREDIBLE value for money.

I can also give you two "third party" recommendations for the newsletter, the first is that many of my subscribers have been with me for a dozen years or more, some considerably longer and secondly, that the readers contain both a handful of sports betting and sport professionals, who operate at a high level and if they feel that they can get something from the daily emails, then you almost certainly will.

The free to view content on the website is meant only as a sample of what is produced in the daily newsletter and it forms just 4-5% of the total clubgowi output and it is a bit like just being able to watch five minutes of a football game at around the hour mark, it might be briefly fun, but ultimately unfulfilling and you need to see the bigger picture.

There is a very recent sample newsletter below to give you some idea of the format the daily notes take, it is a little less detailed than some which can run to several thousand words, but offers a decent cross section of previews

Good luck!

EFL Cup:

Bournemouth - Aston Villa

Both are in Europe and going incredibly well (each has maximum points after three games) and on the up in the EPL, with Bournemouth winning their last two and Villa taking 10 points from four league outings. I would make a strong case for neither needing to progress in the League Cup, but one has to!  In eight domestic cups under Unai Emery, Villa have only made it past R4 once. Bournemouth's record is similar and they are already likely to be playing 12+ games more than last season. The visitors are 2 points better off, but xP has the hosts as 6-7 superior and as 9 better last season ( instead of 8 inferior) and these two are on a par at least IMO. Priority will be given to the weekend EPL game by each and we can expect plenty of rotation. I like Bournemouth as a road team and their press and speed sets them up ideally for that, but they have lost just 3 of 24 EPL home games and to give that some context, Manchester City have lost five across the same sequence.

2 units Bournemouth to score "over" 1.5 goals @ 2.04 asian line.

Manchester City - Brighton

City are coming off a 2-1 defeat at Aston Villa and have also conceded 10 in their last four home games. After scoring 26 goals in eight games, Brighton went scoreless in two last week. I am not concerned about the 0-0 draw in Jablonec in the Conference League when they did not need a win. The 2-0 loss at Anfield should be more of a worry as I don't think that Liverpool are that good, but the Seagulls had a big chance early and then "gifted" the hosts two early goals and then the game was lost, on another day I suspect that it plays out very differently. Brighton don't need to progress in the EFL Cup, but they have already won at Old Trafford in the competition when it would have been easier to go out ( they trailed 2-0)  and what they need now, after those last two games, is a performance. They are a very good team, who's pride has been a little dented and I expect them to push City close ahead of a rematch when these two meet again at the Etihad on Saturday. Brighton have scored 2+ goals in 3 of the last 4 h2h meetings.

1.75 units Brighton to score "over" 1.5 goals @ 2.76 asian line.

DFB Pokal: Holstein Kiel - TSG Hoffenheim

I was very sorry to see Holstein Kiel be relegated after just one season in the top flight in 2024/25, they were a fun watch, like a breath of fresh air and landed a couple of double bets for us and the three goals they scored at Bayern Munich will not soon be forgotten .

Kiel scored 49 goals that season, 49! That is an enormous number for a relegated side, it was the same as 5th placed Freiburg and equal or better than 7 teams.  Last season they beat two top flight teams in this competition and I can see them up for this and h2h wise they have played four games with Hoffenheim in recent years with BTS in each and averaging 4.75 goals, albeit all won by TSG. The visitors have scored 2+ goals in five straight games and I expect that trend to continue and for them to edge out Kiel.

2 units Hoffenheim to win and both teams to score @ 2.50 general quote.

Italy Serie A: AC Milan - Bologna

Milan did us a service last week by beating Atalanta , but conceding twice and then losing 3-0 at Bournemouth, ahead of the latter I wrote .....

Bournemouth are a good team despite their current lowly EPL placing, but they have six Europa League points and recorded their first league win at the weekend. This is their first ever European campaign and a home game with Milan, who are old school European royalty, is a big deal indeed. The tiny Vitaly stadium will feel a little alien to the visitors and they will not face a team who press as hard as the Cherries too often. Milan head coach Ruben Amorim will know what to expect after his Manchester United "adventure", but he conceded 8 goals in three h2h meetings with Bournemouth and will be forced to rest key players. His side are coming off a 3-2 win over Atalanta and I expect them to give up a couple of goals again this evening after writing at the weekend....

Both teams played on Thursday, two easy wins, but Atlanta were at home and Milan in Austria. This is something of a derby with Bergamo 50km or so from Milan and a stadium that the visitors are very used to playing at, having played European ties here whilst their own ground was upgraded. They are unbeaten in four visits posting 3 wins and scoring 7 goals and are also unbeaten in four h2h games as host. New season Atalanta head coach, Maurizio Sarri, has taken a while to get his idea across, but he won his last two games for Lazio against ACM last season. The visitors have some major injury concerns today, but mostly defensive and I suspect that might see Sarri stick with 4-3-3 today and go for things as his side are probably going to need to score twice to get something from this.
They have played once subsequently, winning 2-0 at a Udinese side in freefall.
Bologna have played consistently well in the last four seasons finishing 9-5-9-8 , also playing Champions League football for the first time in 60 years and winning the Coppa Italia in 2024/25, their first silverware since 1974. They started this season poorly and have won just twice, but both came in their last three starts and on the road. Sandwiched in between those two games was a 3-1 home defeat to Inter where they led for 34 minutes and largely dominated the first half, creating 3 BC's before the break and being denied by the woodwork and a couple of saves. Expected numbers see them as 5 points and 5 goals better and we should continue to see a levelling out and them rise up the table in the coming weeks. Milan have played 4 of 5 starts on the road including trips to Austria and England and two more games in the last 14 days than Bologna and the visitors just have to be the fresher of the two.

2.25 units both teams to score and "over" 2.5 goals @ 2.38 asian line.

1.5 units Bologna to score "over" 1.5 goals @ 3.50-3.75 asian line.

MLS:

Austin FC- Real Salt Lake

Only three rounds left to play in MLS. The season is not quite over for Austin but almost and they have been conceding far too freely ( 13 goals in five starts) and 9 in three home games, where they are nine without a clean sheet. RSL's task is easier, as a win today will take them into the playoff spots and this is a team who see postseason football as almost an inherent right. They have played playoff football in 15 of 18 seasons, including 7 of the last 8 and are looking to make it six straight, already holding the best active streak in the Conference. They have only won two away games all season, but that means little as we enter "knockout mode" and no franchise has more experience of such games. One of those away wins came last time out on the road and they followed that up with a 3-0 demolition of St Louis City who have been steamrolling through the league for months as we all know. They were further buoyed at the weekend by the timely return of club legend Justen Glad, with the 29yo having been at the club since his mid teens. Real have been dealing with an injury-riddled defensive unit since  the 2026 FIFA World Cup break, but with Lukas Engel and Juan Jose Arias now joining Glad in a much-needed return to health, the Claret-and-Cobalt have a full slew of center backs to choose from.

2.25 units Real Salt Lake -0.5 ball @ 2.26 asian line.

Vancouver Whitecaps -San Diego FC

After winning the Western Conference last year in their MLS debut campaign, San Diego look likely to miss out on the playoffs completely this time around. However, they are not going away without a fight and certainly are scoring (and conceding) for fun. They have scored 13 goals in their last six starts (2+ in five), four of which have come on the road and including high scoring draws (2-2/3-3) with Inter Miami, Seattle Sounders and Houston Dynamo, which highlight that they can still go toe to toe with the big boys. Having said all that, they are winless in nine! They lost 2-4 at home to Whitecaps in May, but won 5-3 here in Vancouver last season. The hosts are statistically the best team in MLS and that was also the case last season, but they have conceded five in their last two home games . The hosts have played five straight road games and 7 of 8 have been away starts and they must be feeling the effects of all that travel and so many nights in hotels.

2.25 units San Diego FC to score "over" 1.5 goals @ 2.75-3.0 general quote.

Good luck!
