Don't miss out!

football betting tips -

clubgowi is a 52 weeks of the year service, but we have that rarest of days today, one with no newsletter! We have a busy week ahead from tomorrow and I did have a preview yesterday, which you can read below, obviously, that will not be included in free to view content results, along with the schedule for the rest of this week. In those notes we looked how the home side had come a long way perhaps too quickly and had tired in the first leg and how the visitors were better on the road, but had suffered this season with a first European campaign and a lot of extra games, in spite of which, they were basically the side who finished 8th last season. There were also notes from the visting head coach setting out how he had prepared for the game, which I felt were interesting. Anyway, Heidenheim won 2-1 and it was a good start to the week.

You can get ALL of the clubgowi summer newsletters for free, some 50-60 emails, along with a low price long term sign up, it is a fantastic offer, giving you a chance to ease into the service at ultra low cost, email for full details, don't miss out!

Bundesliga Playoff: SV Elversberg- 1.FC Heidenheim

First leg finished 2-2 with Elversberg leading 2-0 at the break and the Bundesliga side coming on strong in the second half when they won BC's 5-1 and were denied by four saves and the woodwork, producing some huge numbers all round for 45 minutes of football. That should ensure they travel the 338 km with confidence and this season they have collected 62.07% of points on the road. They also have history on their side, as the last five top flight sides to play in this away second leg all avoided defeat, with the last four winning and they all scored 2+ goals at an average of 3.0 per game. Heidenheim were 8th last season, their first in the top flight and qualified for Europe and that came at a cost that they paid in this campaign with those 10 extra UEFA Conference League games. They were not set up to play those, as well as 38 top flight games that they were still coming to terms with and it was a case of too much too soon, IMO. Having said that, they performed well enough in Europe and again, better on the road, winning 4 of their 5 away starts.

Elversberg have come a long way very quickly, they played 4th tier football in 21/22 and then back to back promotions have seen them play the only two second tier campaigns in the club's history, finishing 11th last season and 3rd this time round. Only Hamburger SV scored more goals than them this season, but they also conceded more than twice as many at home (25) as they did on the road (12) which is an odd one and must also offer today's visitors encouragement. 25 conceded is more than 11 teams, including the bottom two.The provincial town of Spiesen-Elversberg has a population of under 13,000, most of which can fit into the stadium, which holds 10,000 and has been full most weeks, but that highlights just how much they have been overachieving with six clubs at their level having an average attendance of 40K +, Schalke's was over 61,000 and they finished 14th! Away win and goals.

Visiting head coach Frank Schmidt answered questions from journalists yesterday:

On the personnel:

"Personnel-wise, it looks like everyone except Luka Janes will be there when we train right now. That's what I'm currently assuming!"

On the schedule since Thursday evening:

"We didn't train hard or have a high intensity in training, that should be clear. It was about recovering and thoroughly and intensively reviewing the game with the team. We showed what went well and what we need to improve. I also said this directly after the game: that we need to better implement the insights we gained from the game overall. We demonstrated this clearly in the video analysis. So it was a preparation for the second game, where we took the content into account in detail. In today's final training session, we'll focus tactically on how we want to play tomorrow."

On the insights from the first leg:

"I don't really want to go into too much detail. It was important that the team saw exactly what wasn't so good in the first half. We were 2-0 down. Things were much better in the second half. Elversberg's chances, in particular, were a big issue for us again, and they always had similar origins. But we focused more on what we did well and what we could have done better. We had a lot of shots on goal, especially shots inside the box. Especially towards the end, we had situations where we could have completely turned the game around. In the first half, we had quite a few offensive moves, but we rarely finished them off or didn't quite finish. We also had enough scoring opportunities in the second half. Along with our defense, that was the main point for us, and where we see great opportunities tomorrow."

On the importance of substitutes in a match plan:

"It's also about asking yourself which of my players will be better suited to the second half than if they were starting. I believe that tomorrow is our 48th game of the season, and there are naturally many lessons to be learned over such a long season. Many things are simply different than last season. But we already have an overview and know what we need at any given time. People often say, 'Why isn't he playing?' But if he's substituted, he'll play anyway. I can only say again that I have a clear view of this and will always make the decisions I think are right."

Heidenheim level ball @ 2.34 and to score twice @ 2.58, which they did at Union Berlin (3) in their last top flight away game and in 45 minutes in the first leg, both feel huge and are a coin flip for me, in which case I always go with the bigger odds, but am happy either way and both are very good quotes .....2.5 units.

Good luck!
