I have been writing the blog/website/newsletter for more than 20 years and whilst preparing the notes for my preseason previews, gout to thinking about 2006 and I preview I wrote on the Gambling and Other Wholesome Interests blog (GOWI), where it all started and where the clubgowi names come from, ahead of the 2006-07 season. 

There is so much to admire about Brentford, both on and off the pitch and I talk about them often as one of the two best run clubs in world football and they are, and not just because they are the team I have loved man and boy!
