Dr Sandy Briden , like myself a lifelong Brentford supporter passed away yesterday after a long and very courageous battle against a rare form of cancer (sarcoma),campaigning for and looking to raise awareness of amongst other causes Dying in Dignity. I did not know her personally, but followed her fight closely and support her battle and that of others in living right up to the end. A couple of her comments on her twitter page stand out for me and bear repeating "it is inhuman I cannot choose to end my life when it becomes insufferable" and "I am not old, I am not disabled, I am terminally ill and in a minority where my death will be difficult and undignified." May she rest in peace.
