Increasingly hard times in recent seasons for Sevilla and they are going to have to win at least two of their remaining five games to survive, their two on the road are against top 6 sides and they have to host Real Madrid, which is probably not as difficult a fixture as it might have been, but never "easy". That all makes this week huge, they entertain Sociedad this evening and Espanyol at the weekend and these are two massive opportunities to claim three points. However,  should they come up short this tonight, that is only going to increase the pressure on the next game.

Real make the long trip down from San Sebastian knowing that three points could take them up to 7th, but that is not going to overly help the bigger picture, they are highly likely to finish 6th-10th regardless and have already qualified for Europe having won the Copa del Rey a couple of week ago, when I wrote .....

Big game for both of course, but Real have had 7 days to prepare solely for this and have not had to leave San Sebastian for four weeks, so should be well rested and with full focus on this final. Atletico are coming off their biggest game of the season on Tuesday, when they hosted Barcelona in the QF of the Champions League holding a 2-0 lead, within 25 minutes that advantage was wiped out and whilst Atletico progressed, it was a very tense and exhausting 103 minutes, with the Diego Simeone's side enjoying just 29% possession ( it is always more tiring without the ball) and having to defend 7 BC's.

It is now another final which is occupying Atletico minds and that is the one in Budapest next month and the two semi final ties they have to win through to get there. The Madrid side have won 21 domestic titles and the two "minor" European competitions (four times), but never a CL which they have had to watch their biggest rival win 15 times. Atleti have appeared in three finals, losing all, the two most recent to Real, but this is a real chance to complete the Euro clean sweep and cement the players place in Rojiblancos history. Should they win the CL, in 50 years time, every Atletico supporter ( even those not yet born) will be able to reel off the names of the starting 11 and a good few thousand will doubtless be named after them.

This is Real's biggest game of the season and they should be in much better shape, Atleti had their two biggest with Barce and have, hopefully, another three even more important games ahead.

That was just their second silverware since 1987 and was well celebrated, , but they have now conceded 3-3-2-3 goals in their last four games away from the Basque region and I suspect they will be more motivated and will conserve energies for remaining home games. They surely cannot match the Sevilla desire today and the hosts have a decent record in this series, winning 5 from 8 meetings in this stadium and scoring 3+ goals in 4 of the last 7 and beat Atletico Madrid 2-1 in their last home game.

2.25 units Sevilla to score "over" 1.5 goals @ 2.44 asian line.....best alternative, the home win @ circa 2.58.

Good luck!
