PSG fell short at the final hurdle in the Champions League last season, losing 1-0 in the final to Bayern Munich in August. This competition is the Holy Grail for them and as disappointing as it must have been to come so close, it was a significant breakthrough for the club and it has probably just fed the hunger even more.

The 2019-20 Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 seasons have been "called off" and there will be no football in France until September.
 
PSG have been confirmed as "champions", Marseille have qualified directly for the Champions League while third-place Rennes will enter the qualifying rounds, with Toulouse and Amiens relegated.  But personally,  I still feel this has a little way to run.
