Sheffield United were not terrible at Brentford last week, they worked hard and have not given up yet, but did lose by 2 goals and it should have been more with VAR chalking a "good " one off for the Bees.
The Blades will be playing second tier football next season and it is no surprise, only one team has conceded more than 84 goals since 2008-09 and United have already giving up 84 (2.625 pg) and are on course for 100, a total last reached, and only once previously, in 1993-94. Burnley are not much better off, but are starting to score a few goals and ahead of their last away game but one, a 2-2 draw at Chelsea, where they played over 70 minutes with ten men I wrote .....
Signs of life at Burnley and the points deductions for Everton and Forest give them hope and a lifeline to survival. They have scored four goals in their last two starts, both against London clubs and meet a third today and one who are conceding freely at Stamford Bridge. The Blues have given up 2 + goals in their last four home starts, including in two cup games versus Championship sides and this is an easier fixture for the Clarets than three of their last four away outings..........

At Selhurst Park they played 70 minutes with 10 men, so we can forgive them that, at least in terms of not scoring and they do seem to play with greater freedom against these "name" opponents in any case. They have only FTS in three away league starts this season and lost all four to the current top 4, whilst also scoring.
Their subsequent away game was a 1-0 defeat at Everton, where they once again had a player sent off midway through the second half, but could not find a way back this time. They desperately need to solve these discipline issues to have any chance of survival and also need to win today. They will favour their chances having won the reverse fixture 5-0 and in a game where we can expect goals, which invariably come when two struggling teams meet, I like them to score twice.
