clubgowi started life on March 31st 2006 and will be 14 years old at the end of this month.

 

At the time I was writing the first blog notes Tony Blair was UK Prime Minister, George W Bush President of the US, Saddam Hussein was on trial and Sven-Göran Eriksson (pictured) was still England manager. Airbnb, Instagram, Fitbit, Uber, WhatsApp, Tinder, Spotify were all still ideas yet to be developed, Facebook was in its infancy, the first iphone was a year away from being released. Amazon was ticking along nicely but few, not even Jeff Bezos (?) would have tipped them to enter 2020 as the world's most valuable brand. It was a very long time ago !
