I had a very poor day yesterday, I would like to say I was "unlucky" or was "robbed", but that was not the case and it was simply a bad day at the office, it happens and is unavoidable.

The only thing I can say for sure about the next 11 months, is that I will back circa 600 losers this year, I bet around that number in 2013 and had an incredibly good year.

Luckily, midweek was "OK" and I have a strong position on a bet going into the weekend that could majorly boost profits, so not all doom and gloom.

I have just sent subscribers the first of today's two newsletters, containing five English football previews, the follow up will focus on the evening games.

Good news this morning is that my two tickets for Brentford- Wolves on February 22nd arrived in the post, bad news is that both daughters want to go ! I was in a similar position in the playoffs last year and gave up my seat, so this time it has to be both who miss out !

Weather has been unbelievable in the UK, several lower level games are already off, including the match at Brentford, so double check before placing your bets.
