Ligue 2 betting preview : Tours v Nancy

football betting tips -

First Half : Tours home 7-3-0 // Nancy road 2-6-2

Tour are very strong at home, especially in the first half, but are nowhere near as potent after the break (failed to win 7/10) and they are often happy to sit on a lead.

Nancy have only lost 2 from 8 second halves when level or behind at half time and there is a good chance they can edge this in the second period.

A win for either team will take them up to fourth.

Serbian central defender (yes, another one) Bogdan Milosevic is set to make his debut for Tours after his transfer window signing from Napredak. That is timely, as starting centre back Thomas Fontaine (20-0-0) is suspended, they have looked vunerable and conceded four goals ( should have been more) in the two games he has missed this season. Veteran defensive midfielder Pascal Berenguer (16-0-0) misses his 4th start in a row, Nancy conceded eight in the previous three and secondary striker Bryan Bergougnoux (19-1-5) also sits this one out. They are three big losses. A change in the middle at the back, without the experienced protection of Berenguer and Bergougnoux has been influential in games against the stronger Ligue 2 teams, that looks a lot to overcome.

No new confirmed injuries for Nancy, who will, I suspect, go with five men across the middle with three defensive midfielders and look to stifle this early, possible open up later in the game, either when they have ridden the Tours early onslaught, or if they fall behind.

However, Alexandre Cuvillier (22-3-5) and right back Joffrey Cuffaut (19-0-0) are doubts , both made the journey yesterday (by train according to their website, which is very unusual nowadays) and will be assessed today. They are already a little weak on the right flank, so the loss of Cuffaut would be significant , Cuvillier gives them width and 4 of his 5 assists have come on the road.

Team news is huge here, if both play, I think Nancy will win this and look big with the handicap start, that would go doubly so after the break

If both miss out, the visitors might have limited ambition and look to just kill the game.

Officially I will take a chance that Cuvillier and Cuffaut make it and to be honest, defensively Tours look very suspect at the back today, but if you can wait for confirmed news that is better. Dream scenario for me would be that C+C play, it is level at half time and Nancy are quoted at odds against off level ball, but that is too many ifs and buts, so I will have to be brave and opt for .....  1.25 units Nancy level ball 2.42 asian line/Ibramarket.

Tours : Leroy, Maubleu - Bouhours, Diawara, Guihoata, Milosevic, Schwechlen - Cetout, Chavalerin, Diaz, Khaoui, Ketkeophomphone, Santamaria - Adnane, Delort, Kouakou.

Nancy : Nardi, Gregorini - Cuffaut, Amadou, Lenglet, Sami, Bellugou, Muratori, Nakamba, Mangani, Ayasse, Karaboué, Walter, Louis, Cuvillier, Bassilekin, Coulibaly, Jeannot.

Championship: Derby County-QPR

First Half : DC home 6-3-5 // QPR road 2-10-1

The Rangers approach away from Loftus Road is very much to keep things quiet through the opening 45 minutes and their only first half "defeat" came on a previous visit to the East Midlands , at Nottingham Forest.

Rangers will be keen to get back to their miserly ways after a bit of a defensive horror show after the break in their last start, with Burnley running in two second half goals (it could easily have been four), Benoit Assou-Ekotto had an absolute nightmare on the left side of their defence and they will be keen to offer him as much protection as possible and not get drawn into another open encounter.
