football betting tips -

Chicago Fire won 2-1 (see previous preview).

Today, I have sent subscribers four selections ( all at odds of 2.30 +) and have posted brief snippets from some of them below ......

Stanislas Wawrinka- Lleyton Hewitt

Hewitt is very much in the twilight of his career, but has refound some form on grass and went to the semis at Queens, beating Dimitri, Querry and Del Potro in order, working his way past a player ranked top 30, top 20 and top 10 .

Wawrinka  has made the final of three of the last five tournaments he has entered, including on grass at 's-Hertogenbosch last week, winning in Oeiras **and is clearly in fantastic shape.

In eight previous visits to Wimbledon he has lost in the first round four times and the last two of those went the distance, actually three of his last four defeats here have gone to a fifth set.

Sloane Stephens- Jamie Hampton

Jamie Hampton will be buoyed by her run to the Eastbourne final last week, but was gifted a place in that by Caroline Wozniacki in the semis and in the decider, was well and truly put in her place by Elena Vesnina.

She played eight matches on the South Coast ( three in qualifying) and 18 in the last month, which is almost as many as she played in the first five months of the year.

Sloane Stephens will have been pleased with a run to the fourth round at Roland Garros, the 5th grand slam event in a row she had made it to at least the third round, in her young career.

Stephens has struggled with an abdominal injury this season and pulled out of Eastbourne, so we have to take her fitness on trust.

FIFA U20 World Cup: Portugal-South Korea

Portugal have a very solid record in this competition and with two wins and two other top 3 placings are the most decorated team on show, in the absence of Brazil and Argentina.

They arrive with one of the older squads, with 9 players aged 20 and almost all are with big name clubs, 13 are either at the top three Portuguese sides or with Barcelona.

South Korea are another very experienced group, with 11 aged 20 and most played in the squad which won the strong AFC U19 Championship late last year, so are tournament hardened, much like the Portugese.

Good Luck.
