You will see from the post below that we backed US Open winner Justin Rose to win yesterday at circa 10.0, we also took a little on Jason Day @ 18.0 and he finished in a tie for second.

The only other outright bet we had all week on the golf, or other bet bet at all, at the Open, was for Charl Schwartzel to finish top 20, which is also detailed in the previous post and he finished in 14th.

The good news didn't end there, as the prize money collected by Rose catipulted him to the top of the Race to Dubai money list, where he now holds a 441k advantage and is clear favourite in my book and as you will see from my US Open odds yesterday, I am a very good oddsmaker.

We placed a big 1.5 units each way on him for that season long event at odds of 11.0 , the bet was given at the turn of the year and you can re-read that preview on this link . There is still a long way to go there and will not be decided until November,  (leaderboard here) but we have a fun "investment".

His current prize money is very similar to his total last year at this time, he eventually finished runner up to Rory McIlroy in 2012, but the difference this time round, is that the out of form Ulsterman has some 1m less at present. That leaderboard is updated every Monday and you can follow events there on a week to week basis.
