France are the slightly stronger team and have performed better here, but the odds look totally wrong today and I have to take the English girls getting the handicap start. France have already qualified as group winner and will surely have one eye on their quarter final in four days time, coach Bruno Bini admitted as much and said " we benefit from a certain comfort and it allows us to plan ahead. When you have to wait until the last day to qualify, you have to think about all the different scenarios. For three days, we only think of one scenario: we will play the quarter-final here and we will stay in our camp. We can think five days ahead and this is really comfortable. He gave no real indication about his line up, but did say all 23 players were available and will surely rotate his squad and save one or two of his big name players for the knock out stage. Duggan is very upbeat off the pitch and hugely lifted the tempo when she came on, England do have a record of improving against stronger opponents and have drawn the two most recent meetings against the French, 1-1 at the World Cup (eventually losing on penalties) and 2-2 in Paris last October, they led in both, until late in the first and 2-0 in the latter and I think their odds are far too big today. The 4.0 + quote on Betfair for the win is very tempting, but I will opt for 1.5 units England +0.25 ball 2.25 asian line/Ibramarket.
