Update ........
Football wise, August was far from a classic month, too many teams we backed struggled to hold on to leads and it was very frustrating, however, sequences like that are part and parcel of gambling and are totally unavoidable. Actually, August (including yesterday) was a decent enough month for clubgowi, as we did really well with our golf bets, which in previous months we had been struggling with .............I am not sure if that makes it more, or less frustrating . At the moment I would probably say more, in a week or two....maybe less !
The results graph continues to edge upwards and that is the main thing,
Last year we went on a mad rush at clubgowi through September through to November, there was a stampede to sign up to the service in December and then all the newcomers wanted to complain because we then had a poor 4-5 weeks after winning non stop for the previous 13-15 weeks ! Let me shout this as loudly as possible, it is IMPOSSIBLE TO WIN EVERY DAY/WEEK/MONTH , I will bet 600-700 losers each year on the newsletter service , that is almost a given, likewise, at the end of any 12 month period, it is also almost similarly certain that I will make a very decent profit.
Clubgowi has done so for many years, eight and a half in total via the blog, website and newsletter and across many more years previously, before I even had an online presence. There is no reason for that to stop and I work incredibly hard to ensure that it doesn't.
Take a look at the graph below, that covers the last 12 months, you can see how good the first three months were, I will come back to that shortly, the period from December to early January not so good, now step back and look at the whole picture and you will see that the "poor" period is little more than a blip in the bigger scheme of things. That is why I personally do not overly focus on results, long term, they take care of themselves and short term are only an issue if people are making wrong decisions, or are under funded/bank rolled.
I make few wrong decisions. sorry if that sounds egotistical, but it is true, I would bet 90-95% of my losing selections again the following day under the same circumstances, most of the other 5-10% would be because there was now more information to hand, not that the original selection was wrong. Profitable gambling is simple, make correct decisions and get good (value) odds and long term you will win, but it is not easy, there are a LOT of negative factors that can influence those decisions and blocking those out is perhaps the hardest thing of all, but I will save that for another day.
