Coppa Italia final: Juventus .............the end of an era ?

Coppa Italia final: Atalanta- Juventus
This is being played in Sassuolo's home ground where both teams have played this month, so no advantage in that regard, although Juventus did post the better result. However, by normal standards, the Old Lady has fallen on hard times and in terms of Serie A, go into the final day (this weekend) in 5th and needing help from others, most likely Atalanta, who host Milan, to claim a top 4 finish and Champions League spot. Atalanta have already qualified by virtue of their h2h record over Juve (taking 4 points from the two home games). I have spoken often of Atalanta's stats making them the best team in Italy over the last three seasons combined and they would record the highest finish in their history if they were to finish second, so Juve will hold out hope that that will give the Bergamo side something to fight for on Sunday. However, surely they now need some silverware to go along with all these plaudits for the way they play and how well the club is run, they have won just a single trophy in their history, this competition back in 1962-63, when the parents of many of the team playing this evening were not even born ! Juventus have won 59 national, 9 european and two international titles and that is just plain greedy ! Virtually every neutral will be supporting Atalanta and hoping that the great offensive football, which they almost always display, will be the winner. In addition to which, Atalanta are just the better team right now and xP places them #1 in Serie A and for the second season running. The big teams always treat the Coppa Italia with great respect, but I am as certain as I can be that Juve would accept losing today if they found themselves top 4 come Sunday evening.
