clubgowi Championship preview......feeling Jot, Jot, Jot !

football betting tips -
I wrote to most people in my database on August 7th, with both parts of my Championship preview notes, which had originally been sent to subscribers a couple of weeks earlier.

They ran to some 4,000 words in total and three selections were suggested .....

Brentford :What about this season ? I suspect they might ultimately come up a little short, but, we will never get these odds again IMO, a bet I really like is 3.0 to finish top 12 with Bet Victor and a lot of you did manage to get on there last season  with a  similar bet, so that is an option if available to you. Likewise, handicap lists and match bets which companies will start to release in the next few days........I will opt for 1.5 units Brentford to finish top six @ 8.0 general quote.

Derby County:  I have to include them in my "portfolio" 1.5 units Derby County to win outright 9.0 general quote.

For my main outright bet I am going to be a little more adventurous and suggest Middlesbrough:

1.75 units Middlesbrough to win outright 17.0-21.0 general quote .

1.75 units Middlesbrough to finish top 6 @ 3.50-3.75 general quote.

One month after writing to the database , I sent subscribers a Championship update, Derby and Midddlesbrough were both still available at those pre season odds and I again explained why they offered such tremendous value (perhaps even more) and wrote this about Boro....

Boro have been a little disappointing on the pitch, just six points on board, but it should really be 12 and I have taken a positive slant on this, as it has enabled me to be able to bet a little more at the advised 21.0 and 3.75 which is still on offer.

Off the pitch, they have played like champions and last week added Patrick Bamford, Belgium international striker Jelle Vossen, Chelsea goalkeeper Jamal Blackman and winger Yanic Wildschut, 22  a Netherlands Under-21international. The week before Ryan Fredricks joined from Tottenham, all the other signings have been discussed many times, they are a work in progress, but Aitor Karanka got every single player he targeted and was backed to the hilt by owner Steve Gibson and they are 100% set on promotion. If they had 12 points in the bag and made these signings, people would be falling over themselves to back them at 9.0. Six points is nothing over 41 games and I would prefer the bigger odds (and fewer points) and feel they still offer very good value.

Everyone now knows how strong this Middlesbrough squad are and how focused and committed the whole club is to a major promotion challenge, the difference is that we at clubgowi knew in July !!!!!!

We are now 18 games into the new season. Brentford are 5th, just a point off second place and are trading at circa 3.25 to make the playoffs and 1.50 to finish top 12. Derby County are three points clear at the top of the table and trading at a top price of 2.75 to win the title and Middlesbrough are 3rd, three points behind County , priced @ 6.0 to win and a maximum 1.35 to finish top six.

None of those bets have to win, but all offer incredible value for money.

All three could finish outside the top six and it would not change anything, they are still incredible positions and unless and until you can appreciate that, you are never going to make a regular income from sports betting.

That is kind of what we are about at clubgowi, just looking to put ourselves in good positions time and time again, we will back plenty of losers, of course we will, we are previewing circa 1.500 matches/events per year for goodness sake, but long term, results will take care of themselves, we are "always" going to come out on top at the end of the day and the newsletter is about so much more than basic results in any case. Having said that, do you honestly think that you would lose long term receiving 30 previews per week like this one !

Email gowi8@btinternet.com with any questions about the newsletter service or Sportmarket.

Supremely gifted Jota (pictured) took about ten minutes to win the hearts of Brentford Supporters and claimed last week to still be getting up to pace with English football and that he was 30% below his best, god help Championship defences if he ever finds even 10% of it and yes, I have a man crush !

Good Luck.
