I have previewed a lot of matches today, three each from Brazil and the Champions League and we also got involved in the first AFC Champions League game today, where we managed to start the day off with a decent profit.

I can share with you one of the more basic previews....

Champions League :Manchester City-Bayern Munich

The last three and a half matches have been fantastic for City and us, they won at Plzen 3-0 on matchday 1 ( more later), beat Manchester United 4-1, Wigan 5-0 and tore Aston Villa apart for 45 minutes at the weekend, 1-0 up at the break (it could have been four) they found a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and lost 3-2 and Manuel Pellegrini was still shaking his head in disbelief several hours after the match ended. Ahead of the game against Plzen, I wrote ... These matches are never easy, but on paper, there is a huge gulf in class and this in the tournament that Manuel Pellegrini will be judged upon and why he was brought to the club. City were second best for large parts of a 0-0 draw with Stoke at the weekend and the coach opted to leave Navas, Aguero, Dzeko and Fernandinho out of the starting eleven, they will all be looking for starts tonight and a big boost came with the return of Vincent Kompany to the squad, he has trained fully the last two days and is a real team leader. City have started slowly in each of their previous two Champions League campaigns and Pellegrini has made it very clear that he wants to start with a win, especially with a visit from Bayern Munich on Matchday 2. City have the small matter of the Manchester derby game on Sunday and the last thing they need is increased pressure ahead of that, three group points will just settle things down a little. This is Pellegrini's 73rd European tie, his 45th in the Champions League and I think the vast experience that the now 60 yo ( his birthday was yesterday) brings, will help greatly approaching matches like this. Win today and it gives him and the club breathing space in terms of both the group and the (still) new season, in many ways, this is more important than the derby match, not everyone will see it like that, but the coach will.

Tonight he will get Sergio Aguero back and David Silva has also returned to the squad, I know that they are playing the European champions, but getting a handicap start about City at home, where they are 44-5-2 in the Premier League since December 2010, is simply too hard to resist. Bayern do not need to win and we did see the odd blip from them last season ( loss in Borisov, draw with Valencia, two goal home defeat to Arsenal) under similar circumstances, before they came into their own at the latter knockout stages. I have to side with City.1.25 units Manchester City +0.25 ball 1.95 asian line/Ibramarket.

Good Luck.
