Scottish First Division

The goals have flowed in League 1 this season with an average of 3.21 per game, which is up 0.55 goals on the same stage last season, a big increase. The last nine rounds in 2010-11 saw a 0.71 increase, to 3.37 per game and something similar over the closing weeks this time round, will take us close to four per match. Those stats are only a starting point, but if the matches meet our other criteria, this is a good league for us to be looking at for goals, with the usual proviso, that the lines are in our favour.

I was leaning towards the Dunfermline- Falkirk fixture, but the hosts have applied to go into voluntary administration ( not that they had much choice) and it is hard to know how that will influence the game, or whether it will even go ahead. As a "friendly" this would have definitely have been a match to look at. However, in general, this is a league where the odds makers are still underestimating totals.

Good Luck.
