NFL Wildcard games: (following on from the notes two posts above)
Sunday:21:40 Green Bay Packers 9-8 @ Dallas Cowboys 12-5
Dak Prescott is 2-4 in post season games and the Cowboys are 4-11 in the playoffs in the last 25 years, losing their first game on 7 of the 11 occasions they have made it this far and that is a pretty abysmal record for "America's Team"! I am not a big fan of them this season, they have that flat track bully vibe about them, beating up on losing teams and steamrolling most in Texas, but they should have lost to the Lions here two weeks ago and even with that gift one point win are only 3-4 versus fellow playoff teams. The Packers are improving and are 7-3 in their last 10 starts which includes wins over the Rams, Lions (on road) and Chiefs and I see this as the potential upset of the day and am tempted by the big odds about the straight win. Green Bay RB Aaron Jones has had his three best games of the season in the last three weeks 127-120-111 yards and when he runs for 100 + the Packers are 17-2 and wait for it............he has faced the Cowboys three times and rushed for 100+ in each, 370 total (averaging 6.0 per carry) with six TD's, he is the only player with three 100 yard rushing games against Dallas since 2017 and also the most TD's against the Cowboys. The Cowboys coaching staff must have watched replays of those last three Packers games and the resurgence of Jones with a sense of impending doom!
I am torn between the win @ 3.80+ or the handicap start and after much deliberation and it was close, I have opted for playing safe and feel just a little shamefaced about that! 3 units Green Bay Packers +6 points 2.25 Pinnacle/Vegas Line
