Consadole Sapporo to keep their trends going ........

Japan J-League 1: Avispa Fukuoka- Consadole Sapporo

Consadole stopped the rot last week with a 1-1 draw at high flying Vissel Kobe........

Last weekend Consadole hosted- Cerezo and I noted ...........

Only the Sagan Tosu-Consadole Sapporo game let us down, that finished 1-1, but it was not through want of trying, or Consadole's fault, they had 20 attempts on goal, 16 ITB, 2.2xG and 3 BC's and in midweek returned to their usual MO, losing 3- 2 at home to a second tier team in the League Cup. They cannot help themselves, they are the shootout kings apart from when they play Sagan Tosu , who have limited ambition and ability! Creating so little against Consadole who are "happy" to let anyone score twice is criminal and further highlights what we already knew. Tosu are bottom of JL1 for xP with a 21 point swing over actual points gained  in favour of today's opponent Shonan. Sagan should be 12 goals worse off and have just 8 points against their name, last season they were just as bad (24 xP) and despite being 10 points above the drop zone currently, I will be a little shocked if they do not get sucked into the relegation scrap at some stage. Shonan have already beaten Sagan 5-1 in the reverse fixture in early season and no one who watched that game could have foreseen their respective current league positions. However, this is a great chance for the hosts and they have suddenly re-found their goal touch with 10 in their last three home starts ( three different competitions). Home win.

Cerezo beat Vissel Kobe 2-1 and now make the long trip to Sapporo and we should expect goals. Consadole won the reverse fixture 3-2, which is a favourite scoreline for them and Cerezo "always" scores twice as regular readers know and they have seven goals to their name from their last three trips to this stadium. It is 11 months since back to back Consadole fixtures provided "under" 3 goals and next time out after 2 or fewer, their 7 games have averaged 4.44 goals. More of the same!

I went with Cerezo to score twice , which they did inside 18 minutes and for the game to produce 5+ goals and they eventually won 4-1.Consadole had 17 attempts, 12 ITB and on another day score twice and as I said after the game..........Cerezo should officially change their name to Cerezo Osaka 2  and there can be no team in world football more fun to watch than Consadole Sapporo right now.

Consadole make the long trip down to Kobe to play Vissel who are second in the table , three points adrift of Marinos with a game in hand, they have the best goal difference in J-L1 and only the leaders and visitors have scored more.  Usually goals when these two meet and mostly for Kobe who have scored 15 in the last six when hosting (2+ in 5) and 12 in the last four played in Sapporo (2+ in each).

Consadole dominated, they led for an hour and "won" attempts 21-14, ITB 16-11, on target 7-3, hit the woodwork and the Kobe goalkeeper was named MOTM and made six saves, but because this is Consadole, they also gave up 3 BC's. The line highlighted above in blue type suggest strongly that the goals should flow again today and that average is now up to 4.5 goals for 8 games.

They travel to Fukuoka to play Avispa who got back to winning ways at Cerezo last week, when my notes included..........Cerezo now host Avispa who are winless in seven league starts, conceding 2+ goals in each of their last four (giving up 3.75 BC's per game).

Avispa scored with their only attempt of the game on target ,were 0-3 for BC's and fortunate to win and no reason not to expect goals today. Despite everything, Avispa should have scored an additional six home goals and these two shared four in the reverse fixture and Consadole have scored 2+ goals in 2/3 visits here in the last two seasons.

1.75 units "over" 3.5 goals 3.68 asian line.

2 units Consadole Sapporo to score "over" 1.5 goals 2.44 asian line.

Good luck!
