League 1 betting previews .............

football betting tips -

Hugely busy weekend at clubgowi and we have taken a look at the outright market in one of the lower leagues today and have/will be also previewing circa 15-20 football and NFL games in total today and tomorrow. You can read a couple of the more basic notes below

League 1: Bradford City - Shrewsbury Town

Bradford City are a very big lower level club and should definitely be playing Championship level football and, after hauling themselves back into League 1, they have improved season on season, finishing 11th-7th-5th and already up to second this time round and unbeaten (5-6-0) they will be thinking that this might well be the year . However, for today, it is more about the visitors, who have not had a season they will wish to reflect too much upon so far, they have won just twice and sit only a point off the bottom of the table. Head coach Micky Mellon and his #2 Mike Jackson opted to jump ship in midweek and left to join Tranmere Rovers. That is a lot of unrest to deal with, Danny Coyne takes charge of the team today, but has already said that he doesn't want the job and they are also missing a host of key starters , including left back Ryan McGivern , right back Joe Riley, central midfielder Gary Deegan, striker Louis Dodds and winger Shaun Whalley, the first four named have missed only four games between them this season and are massive losses. Playing poorly, having lost both head coaches, hard hit in the middle and on both flanks and playing one of the stronger L1 teams on the road, it doesn't sound good !

Taking the -1 ball line now (circa 2.0) is definitely an option, but City have not been scoring freely this season and are slow starters at home where they have a 7-4 goal difference, but are 6-0 in the first 30 minutes of the second half, so a lot of alternatives appeal, but they seem sure to, as a minimum, edge this eventually and they could easily run away with the game too. I will suggest waiting for a little better and will take 1.5 units -1 ball Bradford City when the odds hit 2.20+ as long as they are not already leading and we are playing 11 v 11.

Rochdale- Southend United

Seven of the last eight h2h meetings between these two have gone "over" and there have been two goals scored before the break in the last four. It is very easy to see that trend continuing today with United fast starters , but then tending to lose their way big time ! They have scored four road goals, all inside 15 minutes , in all starts they are 6-0 ( scored-conceded) throught that period ,6-20 over the next 75 minutes. Dale came from behind to win this 4-1 last March and United have shipped four on the road in 4 of their last 9 starts. Hosts last five starts have seen an average of 1.8 goals before the break.

Dale will be mindful that this is the international break and, being in Greater Manchester and with none of the other NW League 1 teams at home today, they might pick up a few "floating" visitors and will be looking to entertain and maybe keep one or two. Should be goals in this and probably a couple early. Standard "over" 90 minute line is obviously an option, but let's try to get off to a fast start !

1.5 units "over" 1 goal first half betting 1.96 asian line/Sportmarket.
