football betting tips -

Two sample previews below, one for this week's PGA Tour event and the other was sent as a "freebie" to everyone in the clubgowi database yesterday, if you did not receive it, or the "cheap" sign up offer, then you are not in the "database", easiest way to rectify that is to add your address to the "never miss a free preview" box to the right hand side of this post, or to email me at ........... gowi8@btinternet.com

PGA Tour:  Deutsche Bank Championship: Jason Dufner

Second leg of the Playoff series, ahead of the first I wrote .....

Play off season est arrivé !

We have a virtual knockout format, with 125 golfers, playing down to 30 over the next three weeks, they will all then do battle in the "final" with mega money on the line.
Top 125 players on the FedEx standings are eligible to compete and play in the first event, which starts today......The Barclays.

After this week, the top 100 in the standings are then eligible to play in the Deutsche Bank Championship.

Following that, the top 70 move on to the BMW Championship and finally.....

Just 30 will feature in the season ending Tour Championship.

There is no halfway cut in the final two events, all four have big prize money, but the top 30 who make the Tour Championship will also share out some huge bonus payments ($35m !) .

This always makes for some interesting scenarios with people busting a gut to shoot low over closing holes despite being way off the pace, just moving up from 101st to 100th spot could be vital, it would mean playing next week, when it would start all over again, but more importantly, keeping the dream alive !

We have not seen much of Jason Dufner for two years and what we have seen is much less than there was before ! With Dufner losing a lot of weight, this was on the back of his divorce, after his wife had a much publicised affair with Tiger Woods, I only mention that as this event is run by the TW Foundation and I suspect that Dufner would like to do well and if he needed any further motivation, there it is ! He has plenty anyway, as he needs to finish at least top 12 to make the FedEx top 70 and play the BMW event. It was no surprise that Dufner struggled in 2014 as he was dealing with his break up, but with that behind him now and feeling better and healthier after the weight loss, it ws only a matter of time before his golf game returned and remember it was only 25 months ago that he won a major. There have been clear signs that it is about to all come together and he played really well for three rounds at the Barclays last time out.

Dufner likes it here at TPC Boston, he was 9th in 2013 which would get the job done this time round and was 18th in 2102 after letting his round slide on Sunday ( he was already qualified for the final two events) and I am sure he would have been top 10 again if he had needed to be. On his debut here in 2009 he was T2nd shooting 66-69-68-65 and clearly can go low and deep here. With all the motivation in the world to do so, I really like his chances of a big finish.

Tournament starts on Friday, finishes Monday, which is a holiday in the US.

1.75 units Jason Dufner 3.50-3.75 to finish top 20.....alternative is 8.0-9.0 for top 10, both are very nice quotes.

Corinthians- Fluminense

Having posted back to back defeats, Fluminense are starting to lose their way in the hunt for a top four plave and it is not easy to make a case for them turning things around on the road to league leading Corinthians who have a wonderful 9-0-1 home record, especially as Flu have lost their last four away starts and those to teams  with an average league position of 14.25, they also have the small matter of the Flu-Fla derby at the weekend and the visitors cannot give everything tonight, fall short and then run the risk of playing their cross town rival with nothing left in the tank.

Corinthians are playing with freedom and style, they have won their last four scoring 12 goals in the process and they will be eager to at least retain their four point advantage at the top of the table, with victory this evening.

Flu have made the trip without Ronaldinho who was booed from the pitch by his own supporters at the weekend and who is struggling for form, Gum and Edson did not train with the main group yesterday and are carrying minor knocks, but will probably start, Wellington Silva and Fred did finally return to full training, but are probably not ready to play yet, but we might see one or both at the weekend and I suspect that is their most important game this week and certainly the more win-able. Defensively they look a little suspect and without top scorer Fred, they are never so prolific at the other end of the pitch (lost 5/7 in his absence this season, just 3/14 when he plays).

1.5 units Corinthians -0.75 ball 2.13 asian line/Sportmarket.

Good Luck.
