I have no real interest in this game, my thoughts on Wednesday have been well documented in the Championship stat updates, their numbers are decent, but they have some issues on and off the pitch. City are probably of a similar level to Liverpool, despite the table saying very different, the Reds are better defensively, City probably better going forward, but a 22 point lead is a bit of a joke and not a true reflection. Anyway, I would say this was the Owls biggest game since the 2017 playoffs, certainly the most high profile, they are not going to get involved in the playoffs this time round and this is one of the two biggest clubs in the country coming to Hillsborough with the game shown live on BBC. Wednesday will give everything and look for the upset and if things go against them, will battle hard to ensure they do not get humiliated on national television.

 

 

By the way, for those of you interested in architecture /stadium design, the new Brentford stadium is "finished" and you can see an aerial shot on the following link, it will be the newest sporting arena in the UK and is a remarkable feat of engineering/planning, with a hotel, circa 1,000 homes and new stadium on a tiny, tiny plot of land. Further indication of how well run the club are , is that the stadium has been delivered debt free.
