League 1 update ............Miller(s) Time !

football betting tips -

Rotherham United were our League 1 outright betting tip , the original write up was sent to subscribers on August 17th and there was an update written in early October which was available for all to see here on the website

In the first the Millers were 13.0 to win the division and 4.50 for promotion, in the second they were down to 6.50 and 2.50, this morning they are a respective 1.30 ( as low as 1.22 in places) and 1.025 !

They are such short odds as they sit top of League 1, with only Wigan Athletic as a real rival and seemingly booked for top 2...........

1st . Rotherham United  Pd 31- Pts 68 +39 goals
2nd. Wigan Athletic Pd 28- Pts 59 +23 goals
3rd. MK Dons Pd 32- Pts 57 +17 goals

This is a big week as Wigan play one of their games in hand at home tomorrow and then the top two meet at United's New York stadium on Friday in front of the television cameras and it should be a humdinger of a game !

You can obviously trade out of your bets (if you got involved) for a huge profit, or look to bet Wigan on Friday, if you were at all worried about your position and obviously, United could lose that game and still win the league and definitely finish top 2. After Friday, the Millers will have 14 games left to play, 7 at home, 7 on the road, the fixtures at NY look good, as they face four bottom half and three bottom 8 teams and there is a good chance that at least one other opponent will have nothing at stake by the time the game rolls around. The away games are tougher as they travel to play three of the top six, but anyone who watched them win their derby 2-0 away to 7th placed Sheffield Wednesday in front of a third tier crowd of over 26,000 (!) might feel their name is on the title. They were far from their best and were outplayed for long periods, but found a way to win. BTW, Wednesday had won four in a row without conceding prior to that, including beating Wigan 1-0 five days earlier . After the game United head coach Paul Warne spoke in his usual honest manner about the game ........

"We weren't at our best and Wednesday, a team in form and strong at home, just had too much for us. We had to change it at half-time and say a few home truths."But we got a good goal off a set piece and some dogged defending and rode our luck on a few occasions and overall, I don't think the best team won."I'm not complaining, we found a way to win and kept a clean sheet and put our bodies on the line. I'm not buzzing, but I'm pleased we won."We're normally a lot more aggressive and play higher up the pitch than that so I just asked them to play with a bit more character and belief."We marshalled the game a lot better in the second half and got higher up and Freddie (Ladapo) deserved his goal and made himself a real handful."

I have spoken often about Warne, he is a very good coach, gets the most out of his team, despite having limited funds and ALWAYS speaks truthfully, if he says his team played well, or the opposition have, it is true and believe me that is all too rare in football. In a sport where managers often like to tell hard luck stories, or view the game through rose tinted spectacles and give interviews in their own best interests, PW is like a breath of fresh air .

Hopefully the Millers ease to the title, but you have every chance to cover if you wish, especially if you are looking at the full 21+ point payout.

Good luck !
